Traceless
Strip metadata. Erase drives properly.
- Android
- Windows
- Linux
A privacy toolkit that tells you the truth: remove hidden metadata and device fingerprints from photos and videos, convert formats, and — on the Linux build — erase a whole drive with its own firmware command, the only method that reaches every cell. Fully offline.
What it does
- Strips EXIF, GPS, XMP, IPTC and MakerNotes from photos by re-encoding the pixels — the metadata is absent, not hidden — with orientation baked in
- Removes location, device and timestamp metadata from videos, and a Deep Clean mode that also erases the encoder fingerprint identifying the recording device
- Disk Wipe (Linux build): erases an entire drive with its own firmware command — NVMe Sanitize, ATA Secure Erase, or a verified full overwrite on spinning disks
- Why Disk Wipe is Linux-only: a real drive erase is a firmware command, and Windows blocks the ATA Secure Erase commands at the storage driver — which is why SSD makers ship bootable USB tools instead of Windows apps. A drive also arrives “frozen” once Windows has booted, and you cannot sanitize the drive you are running from. Rather than ship an overwrite that cannot erase an SSD and call it secure, the Windows build says so and points you to your BIOS/UEFI secure-erase or the Linux build from a live USB.
- Verifies instead of assuming: polls the NVMe sanitize log to completion, confirms the ATA security state actually changed, and reads every sector back
- Refuses what it cannot guarantee — USB sticks, memory cards and drives inside USB enclosures are declined rather than given a false success
- Detects SSD, NVMe and copy-on-write storage and tells you plainly when a file overwrite cannot erase data there, instead of pretending it did
- Converts photos to 12 formats (JPG, PNG, WEBP, BMP, GIF, TIFF, ICO, PPM, TGA, PDF, HEIC), transcodes video/audio, and scrubs PDF metadata
- States its limits in the app: camera sensor noise and the picture's own content still identify a file, and no tool can change that
- Works offline — the Android app requests no storage permissions at all, and the internet is used only once, to activate your licence; bilingual Arabic/English
